Frequently Asked Questions

  • Taking the first step can feel overwhelming. You do not need to have everything figured out before reaching out.

When you contact me, we will start with a simple conversation about what you are experiencing and what you are hoping will change. From there, we will decide together what the next steps should be.

My goal is to create a space where you feel comfortable, respected, and heard from the very beginning.

  • No. It does not have to be a crisis in order to benefit from therapy.

Many people start therapy because they feel overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure how to move forward. Others come because they want to better understand themselves or revisit patterns that keep showing up.

Therapy can help at any stage, not just during the hardest moments.

  • I use a holistic approach and look at your current symptoms, your history, and your current needs before deciding what will work best.

    I often use:

    • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for anxiety, depression, and overwhelm

    • EMDR for trauma and PTSD

    • Parts work and other techniques based on what you need

We focus on one goal at a time so you do not feel overwhelmed. I meet you where you are and help you build practical tools that you can actually use in your daily life.

  • EMDR is an evidence-based approach used to treat trauma.

It is an eight step process that helps reduce and in many cases eliminate symptoms of PTSD. It works by helping your brain process experiences that feel stuck.

This approach is especially helpful for first responders and anyone who has experienced recent or long-term trauma.

  • Clients often describe the experience as comfortable and warm.
